Bambi and Steffi: A Tail of Greyt Love |

Hi, my name is Bambi and I will be two years old in July. My Foster Mom says it looks like I had make-up professionally added to my face. I am right in style, as I have that smoky look that is so pup-ular with the really big movie stars today.
I went into foster care in February and even though, my Foster Mom is great, I have always wanted to look for my real mother. I knew her name was Steffie and that she was 8 years old. I also knew she ran 62 races, winning 12 of them. I did not win any races. My foster Mom said that my real mom, Steffie has the muzzle -- oops, I mean muscle and I got all the looks. |
After I had been at my Foster Mom’s for a few days, I started looking for my real mom.
I would climb to the highest point I could find and look and look. I would look to the south, the east, up and down.
I really missed my mom. I even barked a bit to let her know where I was. | My Foster Mom usually fosters 2 of us at a time. One night, we both sat down at the computer to check out the next foster we were getting. You can only imagine my surprise to learn that the next dog moving in was my mom.
Out of all the dogs at all the kennels Colorado Greyhound Adoption gets greyhound’s from, WE WERE GETTING MOM!
Why, I was so surprised I fell over. | The next day, my Foster Mom picked up my real mom and we were reunited. It was the bestest day of my life. Here we were -- together again.
I love playing with my mom. I love putting my face next to hers and walking along side her. I have been trying to teach my mom how to play, now that we both are retired. We do everything together.
We even sleep in front of the fireplace together. | My mom and I would like to find a Forever Home that has enough love for both of us. We have lots and lots and lots and lots of love to give. | |
