CGA Open Membership Meeting - 3/14/2010
The next CGA Open Membership Meeting will be held on Sunday, March 13th at 2:00pm.  This month, we will be holding an election for Vice President, Treasurer, and 4 Board Member-at-large positions. In order to vote, you will need to be a current member.  If you have not renewed your membership within the last year, you will be able to pay for your membership at the Election meeting.

The meeting will be held at the home of Paul and Mayme Gigl in Highlands Ranch, and we will be having a potluck.  Plates, napkins and plasticware will be provided, but please bring a dish to share with the other members.

We hope you will be able to join us in celebrating our accomplishments over the past year, vote for the new Board Members, and spend time with your CGA friends!

Spotlight on Cleo
CleoMy name is Cleo and I am a very sweet girl.  Everybody tells me so!  I am nine years young and can race the socks off those young whippersnappers that think they can beat me.  I love food, attention, treats, walks and zoomies.  I am very affectionate and love my people.  I’m doing fine in my foster apartment, but if a yard is available I sure enjoy stretching my legs.

I love cats a little bit too much and think they are just a treat I gotta catch, so a house without cats or small dogs would be best.  I like playing with other greyhounds, but I am not sure about other dog breeds.  Sometimes I am fine with them and other times I need to bark at them extra loud and tell them who's boss!  I am tolerant with children, but if they get in my face I will let them know they need to back off.

My foster mom is trying to figure me out, but I’m keeping my secrets.  I think every girl of a certain age needs to have some secrets.  Don’t you?  Supposedly I could use something called “obedience training” to help improve my manners, but I’m not convinced.  I think I’m pretty lovable just like I am!

I also have a medical issue that my forever family needs to know about.  It’s called Pannus.  It effects my eyeballs, so I have to have drops put in twice a day.   I don’t like the drops but I get my favorite  fishy treats afterward so maybe it isn’t so bad.

Does your home and heart have room for a sweet, quirky gal like me?
